Just before we moved up to Mount Nelson we had the time to explore our neighbourhood around Sandy Bay. We took a stroll down to the Wrest Point hotel and casino and then continued SE along Sandy Bay Road towards Long Beach. The buildings and houses along the way reminded us a lot of home with certain stretches of the road looking like they’d blend right into areas of Sutton, Howth and Clontarf back in Dublin.
Of course it’s Autumn now and therefore not exactly beach weather but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a stroll down to the shores of the Derwent estuary. Walking on a beach or along the shores of a river or ocean is always a pleasure come rain or shine.
I won’t bore you with too many words on this one as the pictures do it better justice than any words could.
